Those sites sound like a good idea, but you would have to be really on top of sending the things back. I might give it a try, thanks for the advice.
How to write more letters

How I did it: Well, one of the problems I had was I felt that I would write friends and wouldn't really get a response most of the time. I felt like I was pestering people with letters, basically, and like I was harassing friends if I wrote letters very often, because they generally wouldn't write one in return.
So I found two suggestions on 43things which have basically changed my life: swap-bot.com and postcrossing.com . These websites are specifically for people who want to send mail but don't really have anyone to send it to. So now I'm sending postcards all over the place, and just participated in my first sticker swap today. :)
