How to visit South Korea
How I did it: I've been wanting to go to Korea since I was 16 (at the time I write this, I'm 22).
I worked the entire previous summer at a job I simply despised, as well as cut back on my compulsive spending habits, to save up enough money to come here as a graduation gift to myself.
Lessons & tips: Stay for as long as you possibly can. I stayed for 10 days just in Seoul, and personally, it wasn't long enough, but that was probably because I didn't want to leave.
Make reservations for hotels and the like as soon as possible, especially if you're going during high season like me. I came to the country in the middle of Golden Week. Bad idea.
Make sure you come well prepared, physically, mentally and financially.
Learn basic Korean. Even if all you know how to say is "Hello", "Please" and "Thank You", the locals will really appreciate it.
