How I did it: I put an add up to speak to other people who also suffer with an illness called M.E.
I got lots of replies from other sufferers and have stayed in touch with a few..
Lessons & tips: I got some very odd letters from people wanting photos and straight away i knew it wasnt legit.. so be careful and dont send photos of youself out to people straight away.. And i used a post office box instead of my real address, just as a safety precaution.. And dont be too embarrassed to do it.. i was in the beggining but im glad i did it now.. you only live once..
Resources: I wrote to a magazine (take5).. you can put adds up anywhere.. depending on why you want a penpal there'll be an appropriate place to put an add up..
