"The most unbelievably difficult experience, but the spiritual nearness and self-worth that accompany success are more than worth it."
How I did it: So after three long years I finally ended up beating this sucker. I don't know how I did it other than my whole lifestyle changed. Actually, my friends that read this, that's the key: I didn't do it. God did. Like others did before me, I prayed for strength every morning when I got up, I prayed in gratitude every night before I went to sleep, and I read the Word of God every single day. I listened to only appropriate music (with no cursing, crude or sexual themes), I completely changed my thought patterns. It was a lot of work, but most of the work was done by God, he put a new heart in me, like Saul of the Old Testament.
Lessons & tips:
- Always always always always pray to the Father in the name of the Son as directed by Jesus (if you are Christian. if you are not, pray to the God of Israel or Allah. In my eyes most of us pray to the same person.)
- Remember the Lord and He will remember you.
- I attended counseling for this for about a month or so and it really helped. But I dropped out. I may have beaten it sooner, so I thought I should throw it out there.
- Some obvious ones are don't look at porn. It will destroy you if you let it.
- Find out what time of day you are most vulnerable, and stay around people at those times.
- Make sure you are tired before bed. Praying and reading scripture at that time can help too.
- I know this one will make most of you a little annoyed, but seriously, just avoid sexual relationships of any kind until you are married, it will help this goal and you will find you are happier in the long run, I promise.
- Remember what they taught us in the D.A.R.E. program? JUST SAY NO!
- Remember that this is not normal. The normal way your body releases built up semen is through a nocturnal emission, or "wet dream", not through consistent masturbation. The world will try to convince you otherwise. The world also doesn't give a (insert your own word here) about your self-esteem. I do. And so does God.
- Think positively. Remember that if you want it badly enough and try hard enough, you will eventually find strength to stop. It took me years, but I am so much happier now.

- Gold's Gym, where I went to release some of that extra testosterone haha! (It works though)
- A serious study of the scriptures.
