How I did it: Well I invited them first and made sure I knew what their likes and dislikes were. Then I decided which was going to be the menu. I chose some salads for starters and a main dish that could be made in the oven so that I would't have to be in the kitchen the whole time. With the menu I went shopping one day before and prepared the dishes that could be prepared earlier [like the baklava as dessert]. On the day itself I prepared the dinnertable and went for it!
Lessons & tips: - Be prepared and do things early if you can
- If something burns or something: try to relax: the guests come for you and not your food! Make a joke about it!
- Let people help you [especially when they offer to help you doing the dishes]: it's more fun in the kitchen and it saves up some time
Resources: Online you can find many recipes, but I always say when you cook for a large group of people: stick to something you know!!! It saves you a lot of stress and you'll enjoy the evening much more. If you really want to to something new, just try that first yourself!
