How I did it: I may not be the best at giving advice for this.  I am a perfectionist and a procrastinator.  I think the perfectionist in my leads me to my procrastination and then I can never do the "perfect" job because I'm always attempting my "perfect" at the last minute.  It didn't help that my advisor was also a perfectionist.  I had to learn to let go and be okay with what came out (that I did for myself) but my advisor knew I could do better and she forced me to. 

It was never easy.  I wrote, edited, reread, revised, studied, revised, reworked, scrapped and started again so many times.  Its over and I have a beautiful degree and a sloppy 3rd chapter, but the first 2 are leading to another goal...publish my thesis...

THIS THESIS WON THE UNIVERSITY'S MOST MASTERFUL THESIS AWARD FOR 2009!!!!!

• relax
• prioritize
• take breaks
• listen
• know that you are not perfect
• know that its okay
