How to ask someone out

How I did it: After I decided I wanted to do it, it took me like 2 weeks to work up the courage to do so. So one day, I passed by him - and it was weird because I wasn't planning on doing it at that moment, but you take what you get I guess - and I just asked. It was like ripping off a band aid. He said no (but he was nice about it) and we went on our ways. We're still friends. And I'm kind of sad he said no. But I'm glad that I did it because I'm super shy, so it's almost like a miracle. Haha.
