"Learning who's opinon counts is the key."
How I did it: I first had to realize that I'm a very smart woman, and that I'm not going to knowingly steer myself wrong. Looking back, I have not really made too many wrong choices. Other peoples' view of me is important, but it's not more important than what I think of me.
Lessons & tips: First realize that no decision that you make can please everyone. Get that out of your head. You will always have someone that will second-guess your decision. It's easy for someone on the outside to say what they'd do if in your shoes, but you must remember they are saying so because they are not forced to face the consequences of taking the wrong step. When there is nothing at stake--you have the liberty to make riskier moves, or safer moves depending on what the case may be.
I have made a good decision if I can honestly say "I made the best decision for me based on the information that I had at the time." I'm sure, we can all look back and reasses our decisions when newer information comes to light-- yes, there are changes we'd make.
To that I say "O Well"
*shrug it off--and move on*
