How to get into college
"Even though I hated high school, the hard work I did to get into a competitive college was worth it. "
How I did it: Trying to get into a good college made me hate school. It seemed like
everything I did was done to impress admissions committees. Though this is true, the hard work was worth it. Now I'm going to a top-ranked college and have pretty much ensured my future success.
Lessons & tips: Study hard, take the hardest classes you can be successful in, and do
things outside of school. Join a few clubs and activities, play a sport
or an instrument (or both!) and volunteer. Make sure you spend enough
time on your college applications to really give admissions counselors
an idea of your personality.
Good luck!
