photography is fun
Taking a photography course made me more passionate about photography. When you know more about it, you realize what a flexible art it is.
How I did it: College classes were really what motivated me. I mean, when it's for a grade, I definitely have to step up to the plate and get the job done. Then I started doing it just for personal pleasure and I found that photography is a hobby that I enjoy a lot. I feel like I have talent in both shooting and editing. I have been borrowing my aunt's camera for class, but I definitely plan on saving up and buying one of my own. Which is going to be the newest goal on my list.
Lessons & tips: Go into it with an open mind, and without any reservations. I realize that my best work is when I don't have to think about it at all, and there's more of a natural flow.
Resources: Nikon D70, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
