How I did it: We planned most of it ourselves by searching online for ideas. I even started a website to help others who want to have one too: pirateweddings.tk
The site has a lot of resources and info I found to be helpful and I even have a forum dedicated to pirate weddings, so you can share info and get help from others! I wish I oculd have found something like this when I was planning my wedding.
Lessons & tips: Accept as much help as you can. Planning a wedding is A LOT of work.
