How to visit LA
It made me 
"Flowers bloomed everywhere and there are fabulous museums and galleries and book stores. The beaches are great too."
How I did it: We had to rent a car because the transit in LA sucks. We avoided the tinsel town sights and were delighted at the amount of 20th century art in the LA Museum.
The Getty museum is also fabulous and the building and grounds are to die for. No surprise...the building alone cost 1 billion to build.
Perhaps most surprising and wonderful were the flowers that bloomed EVERYWHERE. Who knew that Bird of Paradise could be a wild flower!
