How to be in an art show
How I did it: I entered at the last possible minute - "what the heck, it's free, the worst that can happen is it all gets sent back". I submitted five mounted photographs from my B&W film photography class. One was titled "Subway Soundtrack", and it was a photo of an African American playing a horn outside a subway station in NYC. It was a real pain to print, but it was worth it - it was the one they selected for the show! :D I really didn't expect anything to be picked, so I was ecstatic to find that it'd been chosen!
Lessons & tips: Don't be afraid to enter your work. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't get in, and it's a really nice surprise when it does! :D
