How to make a recipe book
"More organised now, and enjoyable to do!"
How I did it: I was fed up of searching for half an hour to find a recipe I felt like making so I figured I needed to organise all my recipes into a book/folder.
I found an old blue ringbinder folder in my study cupboard that had a loada plastic wallets in it just empty - perfect!
I set about printing my recipes off - typing up hand written ones and grabbing ones I'd posted on athomechef (livejournal community).
When all my recipes were printed out I put them in a logical order - separate starter, main and pudding sections with a contents list.
Hey presto one currently up to date, logical and clean recipe folder!
Lessons & tips:
- Use a ring-binder folder so you can shuffle recipes into order.
- Use plastic wallets to avoid recipes getting marked when cooking.
- Do a contents page which you can add to so you can find recipes easily.
