How I did it:     This book is not one that can be simply conquered in a few short weeks or months.  My advice to anyone attempting to read this book is to look at it as a philosophy rather than a story. The goal is to understand the way that Ayn Rand views the world . When you do, the story is simply the icing on the cake. I read this book at the urging of my friend. When I began it, I honestly did not see the true value in it. But perserverence, and a true understanding of the text is what will help anyone who is trying to read it.
