How I did it: My roommate Jenny and I decided we should go to Thailand to see a sex show and ride an elephant.  We set a date so far in the future that (at the time) felt as if it would NEVER arrive... but as the time approached, we both had the time and money.  So we went!  We found a day-trip that included an elephant ride, a hike, and a riverboat ride.  We left Chang Mai at the crack of dawn--and returned at the end of the day soaking wet, dusty, and sunburned.  It was a GREAT day.

Resources: The 3 Sis Bed and Breakfast helped us find an adventure company that would allow us to fit a bunch of activities into one day.
