How I did it: Flight from Athens is about 20 minutes or you can take a boat to the island. Go at the end of the season, September through first two weeks of
October to avoid the mass of tourists that bombard the island in the
summer months.
Lessons & tips: If you go at the end of the season, bring a jacket and pants since the weather can get a little chilly at night, but nice and warm in the afternoons.
