How to find a babysitter

How I did it: I tried sittercity but did not find anyone I was comfortable with. It didn't seem like many of the potential sitters I spoke with were very serious and I was blown off a few times. I was starting to get discouraged when I posted a sign on our mailbox (that I made on bandflyers) & now we have a great, responsible & fun teenage babysitter so that we can go out once a week!
