How to bowl a 300 game
How I did it: I began bowling in 2002. I started with a 105 avg. But I wanted to be better. I asked for tips from the guys who ran the pro shop. He got me started. Eventually I met more people who had an excellent eye. They were able to assist in tweaking a few details about my bowling. 5 years later, I bowled my first 300 game. Depending on the lanes, I now average between 186-202.
Lessons & tips: DO NOT CONSTANTLY CHANGE BALLS IN A GAME.
I carry 4 bowling balls. I know what each one will do. I have one main ball that I always throw a few times. That tells me if I should stay or switch. Then I stick with one ball. You have to be able to control what you throw. If you have no control you can't be consistent.
Reading the lanes. Knowing when lanes are oily vs. dry. Knowing the best way to adjust. Some people move back and forward. Others move side to side. I'm lucky, I can do either. It's Key to find out what works best for you.
Consistency is key. I have the same approach every time, well I try, not always 100%.
Always Follow through
Resources: Pro shops. Sometimes they can give you great pointers. I stick with one shop. He knows how I throw, I have him recommend whats best for me.
