How I did it: I actually had to go out to an open mic night to get the blood flowing again. I hadn't written anything new so long that I just brought along a poem that I'd written over three years ago!
I got up and read my poem, shaking and feeling like I might throw up. Everyone clapped so loudly!
I was so inspired that I wrote a poem while I sat in the coffee shop listening to other people read their works.

Lessons & tips: Just be honest in your writing. the best poetry seems to come out when you speak openly about your true thoughts and emotions. It doesn't mater if it's flowery, dark, sarcastic, whatever!
If you decide to share it, don't worry about what people think of it. The point of art is to express, not to please others!
