How to start running again
"First painful, then exhilarating."
How I did it: I was home on vacation from school, and it was a beautiful day outside. I decided, at 7:00 that night, to go for a run. It was refreshing; I had little trouble breathing and my legs felt fine. I was already in good shape because of bike riding, but the next morning I woke up and my legs hurt terribly.
Lessons & tips: Wear good running sneakers.
Don't push the pace too much, start out slow.
Walk if you need to, and don't feel bad about it.
Don't time yourself, it only puts unnecessary pressure on you.
