How to give 1000 cheers by champagnedream

"My 1000th cheer was to mondayrowing for the following goal: stop apologizing for being somewhat of an introvert."

How I did it: I've had this account for 3 years now.  The first year I didn't use the cheers feature--didn't know what it was and didn't care.  The second year I used it from time to time, but didn't sign on much.  Over the past year, though, I've tried more and more to make 43things a legitimate workmate in accomplishing both large and small goals in my life.  It was when I changed my use for the site that I started using cheers full-force . . . and today I hit 1000. :)

Lessons & tips: I recommend using the cheers feature more if you don't do much with it.  It may seem silly at first, but I've found that the encouragement and networking that can result from it actually do help in accomplishing certain goals more quickly or efficiently.

How do you know how many cheers you’ve given? I’ve been looking for something to tell me that, but I haven’t found anything yet. Did you keep track yourself? Let me know, please!

On your home page (when looking at your own list of 43 things), you should see a box called “Cheers” to the right. It shows a sample of the latest cheers you’ve received, but if you click on “See all…” at the bottom right of that box, you’ll be directed to the full list of both cheers you’ve given and cheers you’ve received. There’s a stats box on this page with a tally. You don’t have to keep track of them yourself.
