How to adopt a child by jhautz

"Amazing, Rewarding, Frustrating, Scary, Humbling."

How I did it: Domestic adoption using a great small agency. Tremendous support from family, and each other. Lots of paperwork and waiting. There will be some pitfalls along the way but it is a journey.

Lessons & tips: Stay focused on your day to day life as well. The adoption process can consume you but the day you hold your child for the first time is amazing!

Adoption

Good luck to you! Since I’ve last posted we actually finalized our second adoption. It is a whirlwind of a journey. Stay focused on the day when you are able to bring your baby home. There will be highs & lows in this journey but totally worth it. Also, try not to get consumed in the adoption process & continue to live your life. (I know a lot easier said than done).
