I’m a pretty outgoing person so I know I would have no trouble talking to people, but I’m a single girl and I want to travel alone. Do you have any advice from your experience with traveling alone? I would want to specifically do a similar route that you took, the west.

Be careful/cautious as much as possible. If you plan to camp, make sure to pick family sites or RV/campground places, not back woods type camping. If you prefer hotels, pick ones that are rated (like AAA rated) and I usually pick one with a bar/restaurant if I am in a city as it is an opportunity to meet up with people. If you plan on doing any amount of road-tripping, remember you are the only one driving, so don’t overdo it. I also suggest planning the trip in advance as much as possible (as opposed to just finding a place to stay when you get tired). If traveling with a friend, that can be fun, but when you are alone, wandering around looking for somewhere to sleep can be a drag if you’re tired or hungry. Do a little homework online in advance about the areas you’ll be visiting to get ideas about places to visit, eat and places to avoid, too. Have fun!!!
