How I did it: I was proactive about searching for jobs that involved traveling. I had been doing a lot of promotional work locally, so when I had the opportunity to apply for this job - a job that allowed me to do promotional work while traveling - it seemed like a PERFECT fit!
Lessons & tips: If you are looking for a job in the states that will allow you to travel and get paid, look into mobile marketing. There are A LOT of companies that are sending out tours throughout the year to promote their message. Check out craigslist - type "mobile marketing site: craigslist.org" into google to see results from around the country!
