How to learn to play the guitar
How I did it: I got a guitar as a young child, by the time I was about 10 I was able to play well. I've been playing and learning since then - I will never stop. This is something you take with you for a lifetime, you will never be finished playing. My suggestion is to keep challenging yourself with new and different types of music and styles so you continue to become skilled.
Lessons & tips: Stick with it, you will need at least a year or two before you'll be able to play much of anything. Once you're good, a great song to learn is Blackbird by the Beatles.
Resources: my various teachers - the first two got me started but eventually put in neutral. My third teacher has been with me for a long time now and I have learned and improved A LOT. Get a good teacher!
