How to get a piercing
How I did it: I've wanted to get a piercing since a little over three years ago, and I've been actually considering it for two years. Of course my earlobes have been pierced since I was a kid, but I don't consider that anything really.
Last August my cousin and I were in the mall and she desperately wanted a nose piercing so we decided to get it done right there and then. And we did, except I didn't feel like it was real, cuz it was a gun, and I never really wanted to pierce my nose anyway (probably among my last choices!). When we got home my cousin got in some hot water with her parents, they were really mad, and she removed it the next day. Partly to console her I removed mine also. The other part of the reason why I removed it is because I never really wanted a nose piercing! I was beginning to fall in love with it, just cuz it was a piercing....but I still decided to remove it. :/
The piercing that I've really wanted all along (and still don't have!!!) is a lip piercing. Earlier this month I got my eyebrow pierced. It was fantastic (didn't hurt AT ALL thanks to the fact that the dude used some spray, unike my nose which did hurt!) and everyone around me loves it!
Well, except my mom (she doesn't like it, but she also doesn't mind too much). I have no idea what my Dad thinks, because despite living in the same house and talking to him everyday, he has not noticed it as yet! It's almost three weeks.
This is something I'm soo happy that I finally did. So many people around me were so surprised but loved it :) And that makes you feel good, you know. It's funny when you're in the middle of the conversation, and suddenly the person you're talking to stops and gasps and goes "oh my goodness!!when did you do that?!" !! :)
Lessons & tips: Read up before and decide what piercing you want, and how much care you need to put into it (For eg a tongue piercing will take longer to heal, and require more care than an eyebrow piercing).
Also look for the best place in your area by checking out websites and asking people who've been there, in order to know where is best (and cleanest!) :)
