How I did it: Basically i worked my ass off and saved all I could. I spent every waking minute on autotrader.com and looked at all the private sellers in my price [$3000]. Went to see a couple of false advertisements but finally landed on my baby. 99 red VW jetta. Beautiful. I fell in love.
Lessons & tips: Make sure you take the car for a full inspection from a mechanic. Don't want to get screwed over.
