You’ll get there. I was a horrible runner back when I join the army in 2000..when I was finished in 2003 I could do 8 miles(@ a slow jog).
I learned a great deal internally about what it takes to push yourself to keep going.
My probablem was that I just HATE running. I would dread the morning I had to wake up and run. Every step was “why am I running no where,...just to turn around..”. nothing..I still hate running, lol. But if you need some motovation seek me out I’ll push ya for 5 more mins; I know how hard it is.
On the plus side the extra stamina when dancing or whatever was awesome!
