How to watch all six feet under episodes

How I did it: We watched them all on DVD, we hadn't watched any while the show was actually airing. We started originally because I had heard the show was so amazing from a variety of people - but there were times I was actually frustrated and/or bored with the show. At those times, we took a break and watched other things so that when we did start up again we would actually be interested. We powered through because I had heard the most talk about how the series ended, so we really wanted to get there.
Lessons & tips:
- I found the third season to be the weakest of them all - I would recommend taking a break if you need to, or having faith that it does get better a little ways into season 4.
- Prepare to be surprised, frustrated, shocked, etc. The show is nothing if not untraditional.
- If you're uncomfortable with frank talk of death, this is not the show for you.
