How to sell my house
How I did it: We packed up everything we weren't using and put it into storage. We cleaned everything. We bought new curtains. We fixed any little thing that needed fixing: put new hardware on the kitchen cabinets, put a frame around our spare room door, painted our spare room, sold the weight lifting machine in our garage, hung a curtain up in our laundry room to seperate the laundry area from the furnace area, touched up the paint in our kitchen.....pretty much, we made the house a better house for the new buyers than when we lived in it!! But that's okay, because it sold in three months right at the beginning of the housing crisis...sold April, 2008. We got lucky to sell, too, bc my husband got a new job and was doing an hour and half one-way commute each day to work. Glad to be living 10 minutes from his job today!
