How to make my own Christmas gifts
How I did it: I made my Mom a scrapbook. That took quite a lot of time, but was well worth it. Now I continue to add pages to it every once in awhile. In fact, this Mother's Day, I am making some more pages for the book.
As for my Dad, he has always loved the poetry I write, so I am making him a little book with my poems in it. I'm just printing the poems on some nice paper and putting them in a nice leather binder.
For my sister, I was really young when she got married and supposed to give a maid of honor speech. I always felt bad for not doing a great job so I wrote her the speech she should have gotten and framed it.
All in all, they took some time, but I really enjoyed making them. They were things I could really be proud of and they had real feeling to them.
Lessons & tips: Just create something from the heart and they will love it.
