How to grow my hair past my shoulders

How I did it: It felt like a lifetime to get it past my shoulders my hair used to be longer when my mom did my hair but when i started doing my hair myself i damaged it really bad so basicly i cut off about 3inches of hair and go a leave in conditioner treatment to repair the damage a bit then i got rid of all the blowdriers and such my hair grows about an half a inch a month my hair is only 4 inches below my shoulders but it looks better than it did before
