I moved from there to Hawaii and I haven’t looked back! I totally empathize with what you wrote.
How I did it: Well, my mom moved there with me when I was 5 and I lived there until I was about 17. I could not STAND it. If you're retired or looking for a place that is in fact JUST beautiful, go for it.
I've got a very strong opinion on moving to Utah.
Who am I? JUST an opinion from a girl that lived there her whole life.
I
"got used" to living there when I was around 15, but it's JUST that.
"Getting used to it" because you're unable to go elsewhere, or you've
already become so stagnant it's much harder to pack up and leave than
it is to stay.
Lessons & tips: Ehh...Okay. There's a few things:
Resources: Me, my mother, and brother moved from New York to Utah when I was 5, and they STILL live there. I moved here to Alabama when I was 17 and able to get out of there.
I'm...really sorry if this whole thing sounds intensely bitter, but I am. And a lot of the people I grew up with and went to school with said the same things.

Ash Ugh, ugh, ugh.
It’s like, I don’t wanna come off as rude, or hateful. That’s not it at all, y’know?
But it’s really….......just not that overall great of a place.
I’m in AL now, and everyone’s always telling me, “Oh, Utah! I’ve always wanted to live there! It must be so beautiful!”
“Well…Laugh.....beauty is all there is in Utah.”
