How to go to a movie alone

Comments:

The funny thing is that although people hate going to the movies alone because they’re afraid of people staring at them for being alone, the truth is that when you go watch a movie by yourself, you realize that NO ONE CARES that you’re alone. I honestly don’t pay attention to who goes alone and who goes with a crowd. You do pay attention when you’re alone though, and at first you feel eyes staring at you, judging you, but when the previews start, you forget that you’re alone.

But yes, one great tip is to not go on Friday or Saturday nights! The advantage to this is that there will always be a seat for one person in a crowded theatre. You know, that one seat in between two couples and that one seat in front of the person (who came with a noisy group of friends) who loves to put their feet over your seat, and who loves to shake your seat during the movie just because they couldn’t sit still.

Alone is invented thoughts that we made up, When you look at the trees, what do you see?
Can you see all the trees are your lungs? Can you see how both are all one big organ?

The movie you wanted to see, and author and the fun you had in the movie is one big part of the movie. Did you know you are part of the movie as much as the maker of the movies?

Thank you for sharing you experiences :)

All-One or a-lone you have the power to chose what it means to you.

sitting in the aisle seat

I don’t understand why people like to sit in the aisle for a movie. I can understand in other places, because if you want to make a quick get-away, you can jet out. But at a movie, you are plunked down and set.

I like going to see movies alone when I’m taking the bus home from church on Sunday and I pass the theatre and there happens to be a good movie that will start soon. Thank you Fandango iPhone app!

Aisle Seat Etiquette?

I too don’t understand why anyone prefers sitting in the aisle seats in movie theaters. Everyone else has to scoot in front of you to get by to the other seats towards the middle.

Which brings up the etiquette issue for both parties:

1) Shouldn’t the aisle-sitter get up and wait momentarily in the aisle so others can pass? Most folks stay in their chair and then lean back and away as butts and crotches shimmy on by.

2) As the “shimmy-er”, should your glorious frontal package face the aisle-sitter (awkward – and don’t make eye contact either) OR do you let them admire your posterior, visible panty lines and all?
