How to do napowrimo 2009 (a poem a day during April) by SimplyStacey

"This was very hard on me, but I'm proud of the work I got done."

How I did it: I joined the team on 43T and posted a daily poem both here and on Facebook. I decided to post them because I knew it would make me stick to it. I was surprised how many people read it...including people I would usually never share my writing with. Everyone was extremely nice and complimentary, which meant a lot to me. At the same time, I wound up feeling overexposed. 

This took more time than I thought it would...2-3 hours daily. I started feeling very worn down from all this output.

I really am happy with several poems I wrote. I'll revise them and try to publish them!
 

Lessons & tips: Write your first poem after midnight on April 1. That way you'll always be a little ahead of the game.

Listen to music or read other people's poetry to help put you in the mood.

There were some great poems in there

I think they deserve some wider exposure. Maybe you could look for other outlets for them?
