How to run a 22 minute 5k
"Kicked ass."
How I did it: I'd run this fast back in college and prior, but not since I hurt my knee. Began training on a treadmill and lifting weights to get my knee in shape. A 22 minute 5k is not much faster than 3 7-minute miles, so I did alot of training on a treadmill at that speed. I really never ran too often at greater than 3 and 4 mile distances once I got out on the road. You've got to want it. This isn't a jog, and it's not going to feel wonderful at first. Look at my photo! Do I look happy? But I am.
