How to throw a party
How I did it: I've been afraid of throwing a party ever since I threw one that was horrible when I was 12. For my birthdays I usually just invited a couple of friends. We would watch a movie, go out or have dinner in a restaurant. Those birthdays all were really nice but I still wanted to throw a real party once. Even more because I'm 21 now and I thought it was about time I beat this one.
I threw a goodbye-party because I was leaving for Barcelona, to live there for 4 months (another goal) and it was really nice to be on my own party because I was surrounded by so many people I love at the same time.
Lessons & tips: Start early. Invite people early so they don't have other obligations yet. Invite a lot more people than you want to show up. Make sure you don't have to manage a lot of things during your party, organize things on forehand or ask people to help you, so you won't have to be busy doing other things than just enjoying it.
