How to get a tattoo

"I got my first tattoo when I was 19 and I still love it. It was expensive, does hurt, and took awhile but it was definitely worth it."
How I did it: Got the image I wanted online, edited it myself in Photoshop, made an appointment at the tattoo shop, they made a fake tattoo of it and put it on my back to see if I liked it, then actually went over it permanently so it was perfect. I put lubriderm lotion on it every day. It's only slightly faded now but not so much that I would get it touched up anytime soon.
Lessons & tips: Make sure it's what you want on you for the rest of your life, brace yourself for the pain and think happy thoughts! It's worth it in the end!
