How to hold a snake
How I did it: Snakes are awesome animals. first time I touched one was in a museum, during a presention. In the start, we weren't told that this presentation included actually holding the animals, but when they told us, several people (including a lady next to me) sprang to their feet in horror and left the room. The others, however (inlcuding me, all excited about it), listened to the presentation. Then, one of the men came up to me and put a snake around my neck. I remeber that it's skin was pleasantly cool and not slimy or wet at all, but rather dry. Tht same day, I also held a tarantula in cupped hands for a few moments. facinating animals they are.
Second occasion I held a snake was in the wild nature. It was a small river snake with very cool red, black and white markings. I picked it up with one hand just behind it's neck, so it wouldn't bite me, and showed it to my mom. She was of course frightened, so I released the snake back into the river.
