How to run the London Marathon
How I did it: i ran for Shelter, they provided a lot of support and help. I trained 4/5 times a week most week, except if I had any aches and pains when i eased up. I followed by training plan pretty closely but never ever ditched a long run. I also did the Alexander Technique and had weekly sessions with a teacher, it really helped to keep me injury free, and my movements free and positive.
I had a friend training at the same time so was great to talk to her about it and i got in touch with others through facebook and twitter.
i ate lots, drank lots of water and cut down on booze.
