The stuff I have difficulty with throwing away is pieces of paper with “useful” things on… what do you do with those?

You can buy yourself a nice hard-cover spiral notebook and write down this information. If its phone numbers, then buy a phone book, etc.
What kind of “useful” info is it? it all depends what it is.
Things I have torn out of magazines or newspapers. If it’s books to read or CDs to buy I can either buy them or put them on my Amazon wishlist, then throw the paper away, but things like advice or useful information or whatever I find a bit more tricky. If it’s short the notebook thing would work but not so if it’s a whole article.

For torn out of magazine;s or newspapers articles, you can buy one of those file-folders with tabs, and put the approx. date the article is from, or just organize them by use or “magazine, newspaper, etc”.
Thanks, that’s a good idea. I think I’ll organise it by how often I feel I should look at it, monthly, yearly, etc.
What about things I’m “in the middle of”? I’m quite a creative person and I often have bits of artwork or things to photograph that I’m in the middle of out and cluttering. Some of it’s not even arty stuff but if I’m in the middle of a piece of work or I’m sorting out my folder or something. That takes up quite a bit of clutter space too.
