How to make a film
"I promise, all of the hard work is absolutely worth it when the lights dim and your creation fills the screen..."
How I did it: I took a Video I class -- absolutely the best idea I've had in a while. My "films" were only about five minutes each, but there was a full plot arc, and I put quite a lot of effort into them. I am absolutely, completely in love with film-making now, and it's definitely something I want to pursue in college; I'm crap at camerawork, and I desperately need to work on taking ideas and putting them coherently on the page, but once I'm in the editing suite, I'm in heaven-- cinematography is my life.
