How to become fluent in spanish
How I did it: I've been studying French since I was about 10 and always knew I would take something language related at university. I ended up taking French but started Spanish from scratch as well. I went from not even knowing "hola" to more or less fluent within 2 years. I learnt the basics in England at university, but I spent a year in Spain on Erasmus which is where I REALLY learnt Spanish. I arrived there thinking i'd be ok, I didn't realise that most of the Spanish I'd been taught was not really used. I had to find a flat by myself and enroll at university and basically live. I moved to the north of Spain to be as far away from English speakers as possible, and now I naturally speak Spanish without many problems :)
Lessons & tips: The only way to truly learn a language is to spend time in a country where it is spoken.
