How to learn to laugh at myself
How I did it: I wanted to teach others to learn to laugh at life and to learn to laugh instead of holding onto anger, frustration, aggravation or confusion. These emotions only age us and strain our hearts and our arteries. Laughter does just the opposite!
I became a Laughter Yoga Leader and got two different certifications. Then I trained as a Laughter Teacher. And now I am working on a book about transformation through laughter!
I did it because I live in New Orleans and after Katrina, there has been so much anger and frustration and depression here...it seemed like a good thing to be able to provide...Laughter!
Lessons & tips: The tip I outlined earlier is a great one...keep doing it and making up new declaratives about yourself and tapping on your chest and laughing. Fake it until you are laughing at yourself for real! It's a huge source of empowerment and well-being, believe it or not!
