How I did it: I made the payments on time every month by using my bill pay. It some cases I paid a little extra. Five or 10 dollars extra may not sound like much, but it adds up.  I also used my 2008 tax return to make the final payment.

Lessons & tips: Set up bill pay, and let it go. It is important to make  payments on time. Also, having that chunck of money made me want to add it to my savings for a rainy day, but when I did the math, It was better to just pay it and move on with life.
