How I did it: Well, my business is in line with my school program.
We applied for the necessary permits, researched suppliers to find the best deal available for our goods to sell and raised capital through loans from family and friends.
Establishing a system (though this may not be as foolproof in the start) also helped. Once all of these were done, we did some marketing through posters and coupons before having a grand opening.
Our business is still in the early stages so I have to wait and see what happens but am excited nonetheless.

Lessons & tips: You have to have perseverance and determination. In every new business (i'm still learning!), there are a lot of road blocks and "you-can't-do-its" but if you've got your mind fixed on doing it, of course you can!
