How to learn to tat
How I did it: My mother gave me the supplies and a couple books so I could teach myself how to tat. I spent a lot of time over Christmas vacation when the kids were at their fathers, but I kept doing it until I felt more comfortable making the knots and quicker doing it. It really is not as hard as it looks.
Lessons & tips: The only tips I can suggest is to take your time, let yourself screw up, learn from your mistakes and start with the largest thread you can. I started with wool sock yarn. It is easier to see what you are doing instead of starting with a size 20 thread..,that's way to skinny to start out with.
