How to run a half-marathon

How I did it: I did it through Team in Training which raises money to help towards a cure for Leukemia & Lymphoma (blood cancers). I had to raise money but they have very experienced coaches and a support network to help you through both raising money as well as figuring out a training schedule, nutrition, length of runs, exercises to strengthen the right muscles in your body, etc. etc.
Lessons & tips: See above. I really recommend Team in Training or another org if it is your first time and/or if you don't consider yourself a serious runner already.
Resources: Energy food, Drinking more water, Icing after runs even if it doesn't hurt, a consistent schedule
