How to get my real estate license
How I did it: This one is easy and well worth the trouble. Go with an online education provider such as Van Ed, BootStraplearning or Kaplan. They are all about the same in quality - go with the one that gives you the best price. You can easily finish up the education requirement in less than a month if you go the online route (vs. 3 semesters the community college route!) Pass the test, find a broker and you are in bidness!
The commission that I received for purchasing my own house more than paid for all of the expenses I had incurred obtaining my license. I do this part time
Lessons & tips: The commission that I received for purchasing my first house more than paid for all of my expenses obtaining my license and real estate is a side job for me - I now earn most of my commissions through referrals - finding an agent for people I meet (usually .25% of the sales price).
Resources: I got my requirements through BootStrapLearning.com because they had the best deal at the time (ask for a discount if you can't find a coupon). If you are looking to make a career of real estate start out with a large broker that has a GOOD sales program. Sales training strategies and time management are critical to be really successful.
Are all the real estate programs you listed online? It would be really nice if you could just take the classes online. Getting into real estate that way would be really effective. Having a family and other responsibilities really limit the amount of time I can be away from my family. http://www.century21north.com
